Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
- Oversee network security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal standards (FISMA).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical network outages and performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan network upgrades and migrations.
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to ensure scalability.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, architecture, or administration.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking hardware and software (IOS, NX-OS).
- Certification preferred: CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven government environment.
