Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and system health during evening and overnight hours to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal clients.
- Perform proactive troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents and hardware failures.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Conduct regular system backups and verify data integrity to prevent catastrophic data loss.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs of all operational activities.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams and system engineers to implement long-term infrastructure improvements.
- Respond to emergency alerts and escalate issues according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent military experience.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations, system administration, or IT support.
- Proven experience working in a night shift or 24/7 operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a US Citizen and willing to undergo a background investigation.
