Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of federal and state-level information systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) and local government protocols.
- Analyze complex data sets to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy for government stakeholders.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement software upgrades.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and compliance reports for agency leadership.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff members within the IT department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and database management systems.
- Excellent understanding of cybersecurity best practices and federal data privacy regulations.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance verification (if applicable).
