Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex server infrastructure and virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Manage Active Directory domains, user accounts, and security policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade systems and implement new technologies that align with agency goals.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior staff members and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if required).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
