Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of the state agency’s network and server systems.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support and issue resolution for internal staff and stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to strict state and federal regulations, including FISMA compliance.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to deploy new software and hardware solutions efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or system administration within a government or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or a state-level IT certification is highly preferred.
