Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across federal facilities.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues for federal employees.
- Configure and deploy network infrastructure equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with federal IT policies, standards, and security protocols (FISMA).
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize network efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on federal software applications.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR 3 years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience with federal IT systems (e.g., OPM, JPM, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in configuring Windows Server, Linux, and network hardware.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
