Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the agency's local and wide-area network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform routine maintenance on servers and hardware.
- Enforce federal cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade legacy systems.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff regarding network usage and security best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and system diagrams for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR 3 years of specialized experience directly related to the position.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering, systems administration, or IT support.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and virtualization technologies.
