Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain server infrastructure, network hardware, and cloud environments during evening and night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Execute critical system patches, updates, and security hardening protocols to maintain compliance with federal and state standards.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical incidents and service tickets escalated during off-peak hours.
- Perform routine backups, disaster recovery drills, and data integrity checks to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to document changes and ensure seamless operational handovers.
- Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments on government networks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in systems administration, preferably within a government, healthcare, or large enterprise environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions and cybersecurity best practices.
