Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic and security systems in real-time to detect and mitigate cyber threats during night operations.
- Perform incident response and forensic analysis for security breaches and anomalies identified during the night shift.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and DFARS standards.
- Apply security patches and configuration changes to federal systems to close vulnerabilities promptly.
- Document security events, incidents, and resolutions in accordance with federal reporting protocols.
- Collaborate with federal agencies and internal teams to coordinate emergency security responses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Proven ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls.
