Responsibilities
- Monitor Network Operations: Continuously monitor federal network traffic and security systems 24/7 to detect and mitigate potential threats.
- Incident Response: Execute rapid incident response procedures and troubleshooting protocols for hardware and software failures.
- Access Management: Manage and verify user access credentials, ensuring strict compliance with federal security protocols (NIST, DIACAP).
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patch management on secure government servers and workstations during off-peak hours.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and system configuration documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance or higher is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent military/government experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or network administration within a federal or government environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, switching, and familiarity with federal frameworks such as FISMA.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
