Responsibilities
- Provide tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal IT systems and networks.
- Monitor system health and performance, resolving alerts and incidents autonomously during off-hours.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and security updates to ensure system integrity.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations accurately.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, FISMA, and ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to ensure seamless handovers and issue resolution.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently during night shift hours.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a high-security environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
