Responsibilities
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of federal information systems and networks in the New Orleans region.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to comply with federal regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Analyze system performance data to optimize efficiency and ensure high availability of critical federal applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into legacy federal infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide technical support and training to federal staff regarding software tools and security best practices.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and incident reports in compliance with agency standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government employment.
