Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues specifically during Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Monitor server health and system performance to proactively prevent downtime and ensure 24/7 availability of government services.
- Execute routine maintenance and security patching schedules to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to resolve complex escalations and ensure seamless handovers at the end of the weekend shift.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and maintenance logs accurately in the Service Management System.
- Respond to emergency service requests with urgency, professionalism, and adherence to strict government protocols.
- Conduct security audits and physical IT asset checks in government facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk operations.
- Proven ability to work weekend shifts and holidays as required, with a strong commitment to punctuality.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with non-technical staff and senior management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or MCSA are highly preferred.
