Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps in federal systems.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in accordance with incident response plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and FISMA.
- Implement and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Lead security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for hardening systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed security reports to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certification: Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network administration.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
