Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and secure federal networks and IT systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for government operations.
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems, in compliance with federal standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and mobile devices for federal staff.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate cyber threats and data breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Document technical procedures and train junior staff on federal IT policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or cybersecurity within a government or enterprise setting.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or a Federal-level IT certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network hardware configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
