As a Federal IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of secure government networks and systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure solutions for federal clients.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Monitor and manage network security systems, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security regulations.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users and junior staff.
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity protocols.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or federal contracting.
- Experience with DoD STIGs, CIS Controls, and relevant compliance standards.
- Proficiency in networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
