As a Federal IT Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of our national data systems. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the agency's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for federal employees, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive federal information in compliance with strict regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize network efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed logs of system changes and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Federal Public Trust clearance or willingness to undergo the background investigation process.
- 5+ years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Proficiency in network protocols, hardware troubleshooting, and software installation.
- Strong understanding of federal compliance standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
