Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain federal IT systems during weekend shifts, ensuring 24/7 operational continuity
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments for sensitive government data
- Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure
- Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions using federal compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during weekend system migrations and upgrades
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery testing
- Train junior staff on weekend-specific protocols and emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of enterprise IT support experience with weekend shift exposure
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Experience with federal IT standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network, hardware, and software issues
