Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal employees, including hardware repair, software installation, and network troubleshooting.
- Manage and prioritize incoming IT service tickets within the federal ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow) with a focus on rapid resolution.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal information security regulations (FISMA) and physical security protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and hardware inventory checks to maintain compliance.
- Train federal staff on new software applications and security best practices.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers while providing interim solutions to end-users.
- Document all technical interactions and resolutions in accordance with departmental standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Certification: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Interim or Final) clearance.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a government or federal contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
