Key Responsibilities
As a Federal IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide Level 2 technical support to federal personnel via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently.
- Perform regular system maintenance, patch management, and security updates on workstations and servers.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware, peripherals, and software configurations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents, tickets, and resolutions within the Service Desk database.
- Collaborate with the Systems Administration team to troubleshoot complex network outages.
- Adhere to strict federal security protocols and ITIL best practices.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal positions.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Office 365, and troubleshooting standard peripherals.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Background Investigation (e.g., Secret Clearance).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability to work rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) as required.
