Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts for government servers and networks during the night shift.
- Perform proactive maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of citizen-facing digital services by resolving technical outages immediately.
- Execute scheduled backups and database integrity checks to prevent data loss.
- Document technical incidents and resolutions in the IT service management system.
- Collaborate with day-shift staff to hand off critical issues and ensure continuity of operations.
- Adhere to strict government security protocols and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and network infrastructure management.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts without immediate supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be eligible for a government security clearance.
