The Role:
As a Night Shift IT Specialist, you will be the first line of defense for our IT infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain server health, and ensure strict adherence to federal security protocols. Your expertise will ensure that government systems remain operational and secure around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for government agency systems during the night shift.
- Monitor server health, perform routine maintenance, and address critical alerts immediately to prevent downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state security protocols, data privacy regulations, and access controls.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software updates.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and incident reports in the centralized knowledge base.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over tickets and ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking concepts.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM) and be available for on-call emergencies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a high-security environment.
- Security clearance eligibility is a plus.
