Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol federal facility premises, including interior and exterior grounds, to ensure strict adherence to security protocols and federal regulations.
- Operate and maintain surveillance systems, access control terminals, and alarm monitoring equipment during night hours.
- Respond immediately and effectively to security breaches, alarms, or emergency situations using established emergency response plans.
- Document all observations, incidents, and visitor activities in detailed logs and shift reports with high accuracy.
- Verify the identity and authorization of all personnel and visitors entering the facility during off-hours.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure all security hardware is functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with day-shift supervisors and federal representatives to ensure a seamless transition of operations and information.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for all federal contract positions.
- Ability to pass a government background investigation and obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; military or law enforcement experience is highly preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and reporting software.
