Responsibilities
- Calculate and disburse federal pension benefits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and process retirement applications for FERS and CSRS participants.
- Ensure strict adherence to OPM (Office of Personnel Management) guidelines and federal laws.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to identify discrepancies.
- Communicate complex pension details to federal employees and their beneficiaries in clear, understandable language.
- Collaborate with the HR team to resolve beneficiary inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension management.
- Proficiency with federal payroll systems (e.g., USAJOBS, OPM systems) is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
