Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of the state pension plan, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery to retirees and active employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of the state pension plan, ensuring accurate record-keeping for all participants.
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and payroll deductions with high precision.
- Communicate complex pension information to employees and retirees in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner.
- Ensure full compliance with federal (ERISA) and state government regulations regarding retirement funds.
- Conduct regular audits of pension data to identify discrepancies and mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to optimize benefits programs and resolve member inquiries.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive financial and personal data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, human resources, or government benefits.
- Strong understanding of ERISA regulations, state pension laws, and government compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized HRIS software (e.g., Workday, SAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with strict adherence to privacy protocols.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to government facilities (if required).
