Responsibilities
- Analyze pension applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility under FERS and CSRS plans.
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees and retirees regarding retirement options, survivor benefits, and pension calculations.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to ensure data integrity and compliance with federal guidelines.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on pension trends, processing times, and system performance.
- Collaborate with HR specialists and finance teams to resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal legislation impacting retirement planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension management, or actuarial support.
- In-depth knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal HR information systems.
