We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Federal Pension Specialist to join our night shift operations team in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of federal pension applications and retirement requests.
- Verify service records, pay data, and eligibility documentation against strict federal regulations.
- Perform high-volume night shift data entry to maintain the integrity of the pension database.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees and retirees regarding their benefits.
- Ensure strict compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines and internal policies.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in pension calculations and benefit statements.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and audit records for accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, federal payroll, or retirement services.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of federal retirement systems and OPM regulations is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a government security clearance.
