In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for pension inquiries, ensuring accurate administration of federal retirement programs and maintaining strict compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage federal pension plans, ensuring full compliance with ERISA and federal regulations.
- Process retirement applications, benefits claims, and pension calculations with high accuracy.
- Provide expert counseling and guidance to federal employees regarding eligibility, vesting, and pension options.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and payroll teams to optimize pension strategies and reporting.
- Assist in the development and delivery of pension education workshops for federal staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience specifically with federal retirement systems (e.g., FERS, CSRS) or pension administration.
- Strong working knowledge of federal benefit laws, tax codes, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality.
- US Citizenship required for federal roles.
