National Retirement Solutions is seeking a dedicated Federal Pension Specialist to join our team in Tampa, FL. We specialize in managing complex federal retirement plans and are looking for an experienced professional to handle our high-volume weekend operations. As a key member of our weekend shift team, you will ensure the accuracy and timely processing of pension claims, benefits inquiries, and regulatory compliance for federal retirees across the nation.
Responsibilities
- Process and review federal pension applications, requests for direct deposit changes, and beneficiary designations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and detailed guidance to federal employees regarding FERS, FRS, and CSRS retirement plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, privacy laws (FERPA/GDPR), and internal compliance standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies in pension statements and payroll data.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all weekend shift cases in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with the full-time team on Monday mornings to ensure seamless handover of escalated issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits processing, or federal human resources.
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems, specifically FERS, FRS, and CSRS.
- Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and federal compliance standards.
- Ability to work effectively during weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday) with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration preferred.
