Responsibilities
- Develop and implement federal program initiatives aligned with VA strategic objectives
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets with strict federal compliance standards
- Analyze complex policy impacts and recommend actionable solutions
- Coordinate cross-agency partnerships for veteran service integration
- Lead performance improvement initiatives using federal KPI frameworks
- Prepare congressional briefings and high-level stakeholder reports
- Mentor junior staff on federal regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years federal program management experience (GS-12+ equivalent)
- Expert knowledge of federal procurement and grants management (FAR, DFARS)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain immediately
- Advanced degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Proficient in federal reporting systems (e.g., MAX, FPDS)
- Proven track record of meeting OMB and GAO reporting deadlines
- VA-specific program experience highly preferred
