Responsibilities
- Security Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of network traffic and system logs to identify vulnerabilities and suspicious activities.
- Implementation: Design, develop, and implement automated response strategies for network intrusion detection and prevention.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal security standards, policies, and directives, including NIST and DIACAP.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to system administrators and end-users regarding security protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, configurations, and audit reports.
- Training: Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Certification: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
