Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats and data breaches
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA security frameworks
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement on security investigations
- Manage encryption systems and access control mechanisms
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT security environments
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and network security protocols
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux security hardening
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
