Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray technology and metal detectors.
- Enforce federal security regulations and procedures to prevent unauthorized items from entering secure areas.
- Assist travelers with disabilities and special needs to ensure dignified and accessible screening.
- Respond immediately to security breaches, alarms, and emergency situations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while wearing the TSA uniform.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of federal agents and support staff.
- Complete mandatory training modules and annual security refresher courses.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical assessment.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Schedule: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and have good vision (with or without correction).
