Responsibilities
- Screen Passengers and Baggage: Operate X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Conduct Physical Searches: Perform pat-downs and physical searches of passengers to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Verify Identification: Check travel documents and identification to verify the identity of travelers.
- Enforce Security Regulations: Adhere strictly to TSA security directives and operational requirements.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with questions, provide directions, and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
- Emergency Response: Respond appropriately to security breaches, medical emergencies, or other critical incidents.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
