Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and physical inspection methods.
- Monitor security checkpoints to identify potential threats and enforce security protocols strictly.
- Assist passengers with a high level of customer service, explaining screening procedures clearly and patiently.
- Document and report any unattended items, suspicious behavior, or security breaches immediately.
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment to detect prohibited items.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners and law enforcement personnel to maintain a secure environment.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while adhering to strict TSA dress and conduct codes.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and fingerprinting.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive motions.
- Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-employment and random drug test.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
