Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and assisting travelers with a positive attitude.
- Operate and monitor imaging equipment, explosive trace detection machines, and screening technology.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and high ethical standards during high-stress situations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations and flow.
- Complete necessary paperwork and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.
