Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery including sweepers, mowers, and hand tools safely
- Assist in construction projects including traffic signal installation and curb repairs
- Conduct daily inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Collaborate with crews during emergency weather response operations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment storage
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Previous construction or maintenance experience a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
