Responsibilities
- Maintain city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems through routine inspections and repairs
- Operate light/heavy machinery (mowers, dump trucks, sweepers) for park maintenance and construction projects
- Perform seasonal tasks including snow/ice removal, landscape beautification, and storm response
- Support public facility upkeep including building maintenance, signage repair, and waste management
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations during all field operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred
- Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works, construction, or grounds maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in extreme weather, and operate hand/power tools
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment physical/drug screen
