Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with county codes and blueprints
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence
- Interpret engineering plans and specifications for contractors and developers
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public works infrastructure
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical discrepancies
- Issue notices of violation and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and project planning sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years construction inspection experience
- ICBO/CBO certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and construction documents
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience with inspection software (e.g., FieldTrak, Accela)
