Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment, such as backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks, under supervision.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, trenching, and concrete pouring.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Respond to emergency public works calls as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
