Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, sewer systems, and park facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, dump trucks) safely and efficiently under supervision
- Assist in emergency storm response and snow removal operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public works equipment and report maintenance needs
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Maintain accurate work logs and complete required documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
