Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and debris removal for road/sidewalk maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management, drainage system repairs, and snow removal operations
- Inspect and maintain public facilities, parks, and recreational infrastructure
- Collaborate with crews on construction projects while adhering to OSHA standards
- Document daily progress and material usage using digital reporting tools
- Participate in emergency response during weather-related events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience with heavy equipment operation
- Valid Nevada Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and site survey markings
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical fitness assessment
