Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and street maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in storm drain cleaning, debris removal, and emergency response
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Support traffic control and road signage installation projects
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Pass background check and drug screening
