Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, dump trucks) for construction and maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including grading, paving, and repairing roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist with stormwater management and flood control infrastructure maintenance
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement initiatives
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
