As a key member of our R&D leadership team, you'll identify paradigm-shifting technologies, assess their commercial viability, and develop implementation frameworks that position our company as an industry pioneer. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives, engineering leads, and venture partners to build a future-proof ecosystem of innovations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026 (quantum computing, neurotech, synthetic biology)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology adoption and integration across business units
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for cutting-edge R&D
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Build and manage a portfolio of emerging technology investments and pilot programs
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or emerging technology consulting
- Proven track record of launching at least two disruptive tech initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Experience developing 5-10 year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., Foresight Practitioner)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating technology impact assessments and commercialization strategies
