In this pivotal position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and industry partners to identify disruptive technologies, assess their commercial viability, and develop actionable implementation strategies. Your insights will directly influence product development, investment decisions, and competitive positioning in rapidly evolving markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, etc.) and assess their strategic implications
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market forecasts and business objectives
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify first-mover advantages in emerging tech domains
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future technologies into development pipelines
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and technology consortia
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical considerations for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future tech domains (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Certification in technology management or innovation strategy preferred
