Responsibilities
- Anticipate and analyze emerging technological trends (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI) with 3-5 year predictive modeling
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and societal impact goals
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and ethics teams to evaluate tech adoption risks
- Author strategic briefings for C-suite executives and board members on paradigm-shifting technologies
- Establish partnerships with academic research institutions and venture capital firms specializing in frontier tech
- Monitor global regulatory landscapes for emerging tech governance frameworks
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and scenario planning techniques
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation consulting with proven trend forecasting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and predictive analytics tools
- Published research or thought leadership in technology futures or innovation strategy
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology commercialization strategies
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and trend analysis platforms
