Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update complex geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial databases to support county initiatives.
- Design and produce high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations for reports, presentations, and public distribution.
- Conduct spatial analysis to interpret data trends and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing quality assurance on geospatial datasets.
- Train staff and stakeholders on GIS software and tools to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and public health officials to integrate GIS solutions into broader projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience using ArcGIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems.
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and data standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
