Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the county's local and wide area network (LAN/WAN).
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance assessments, and capacity planning to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technological needs and recommend innovative solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
