Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update geographic information systems (GIS) maps and databases for municipal departments.
- Analyze spatial data to support urban planning, disaster recovery, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with city engineers, planners, and stakeholders to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all GIS platforms and datasets.
- Provide technical support and training to non-technical staff regarding GIS software and tools.
- Prepare high-quality reports, visualizations, and presentations for city leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, preferably within the public sector or municipal government.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcPro) and SQL databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
